Day 1
Venice, Italy

The breathtaking city of Venice is situated on 120 islands formed by 177 canals. Venice is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world thanks in some part to works by Titian, Tintoretto, Bellini, Veronese and Canaletto.

Shuttle buses take you from the port to Piazzale Roma, where you can walk or take a watertaxi into the city centre. The most famous piazza in Venice is St Mark's Square (Piazza San Marco), where you will find St Mark's Cathedral, the Doge's Palace (Palazzo Ducale) and the bell tower. At the back of the Doge's Palace is the famous Bridge of Sighs but the city’s most iconic bridge has to be the Rialto, lined with a double row of shops. This proudly straddles the Grand Canal, the principal traffic artery of Venice.

With the Stucky Mill, Chiesa del Redentore, the impressive Basilica della Madonna della Salute, the Punta della Dogana and the ancient Benedictine monastery of San Giorgio all waiting to be uncovered, places of interest come thick and fast in Venice.

During the 14th century, Venice grew to be one of the wealthiest trading cities in the world. The peak of the Venetian power was reached during the 15th century when Gallipoli, Cyprus and Crete were conquered and the empire was enhanced by the many talented Renaissance artists the city boasted.

3
Day 3
Pula, Croatia
4
Day 4
Dubrovnik, Croatia

The well-preserved Croatian walled city of Dubrovnik faces out towards the glistening Adriatic Sea and has held UNESCO World Heritage status since 1979. As you walk through the gates, you will be greeted by a series of glistening cobblestones, which have been smoothed down by pedestrians over time. Climbing and walking along the surrounding walls will provide an unparalleled insight into the architecture and history of this intriguing city.

5
Day 5
Brindisi, Italy
6
Day 6
Khania, Crete, Greece

More commonly known as Chania, the Greek port of Khania is situated on the relaxing island of Crete. It has been highly influenced throughout history, with an atmosphere that is both Venetian and Turkish. One of the most picturesque areas within the city is the Venetian port, which is also home to a number of monuments including a 16th century lighthouse and Yiali Tzami - an intriguing 17th century Sea mosque.

8
Day 8
Rhodes, Greek Islands

Of the Greek Islands, Rhodes is one of the largest and most fertile – offering visitors a range of golden beaches and intriguing medieval settlements. The island really does have something to please everyone, with plenty of locations to soak up the sun combined with fascinating architecture. The small church of Asklipio depicts the fascinating ancient cult of healing on the island, while there are also many castles, monasteries and ruins to lead you on a historical journey.

9
Day 9
Santorini, Greek Islands

Famous for its iconic blue domes, the Greek island of Santorini continues to attract visitors year after year. What was nothing more than a half-submerged volcanic mountain saw a huge volcanic explosion in the 17th century which almost entirely reshaped the island as know it today. Visitors to the island will certainly enjoy exploring the many villages and towns, while the golden beaches provide the perfect place upon which to admire one of the legendary sunsets.

10
Day 10
Piraeus, Greece

The ancient Greek port of Piraeus provides an ideal point of access for the city of Athens – with easy links into the Greek capital. Athens is a fascinating city, with many ancient landmarks – most notably the Acropolis, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The area of Piraeus is home to a few areas of interest if you would rather stay close to the port including an archaeological museum and a number of Greek Orthodox churches.

Sail on board Silver Shadow
Dining

With the importance of food in Italian culture, you would expect dining to be a high priority at Silversea. And it most assuredly is. Moreover, gastronomic excellence is a given thanks to Silversea’s partnership with the prestigious Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux. No matter where you dine, their influence is readily apparent in the great diversity and presentation of culinary selections on board your all inclusive cruise.

Silversea offers a choice of dining venues, even aboard their smallest ships, and as many as six restaurants on Silver Spirit — remarkable for a ship of her size. The main dining room aboard every Silversea luxury cruise ship, The Restaurant, is always open seating so you can arrive at your leisure and dine with the friends you invite to join your table. And with the worldly crowd of international guests who sail on Silversea ships, socialising is yet another great advantage of the Silversea experience.

La Terrazza

On board this luxury cruise ship a divine selection of Italy’s best cuisine is served à la carte in La Terrazza. Authentic recipes and the freshest ingredients come together with flair and passion — a flavourful expression of Silversea’s distinctive Italian heritage that embraces the principals of Slow Food — fresh, sustainable and locally grown. Slow Food is an eco-gastronomic concept that began at a grass roots level in reaction to “Fast Food” and is dedicated to proper land stewardship while preserving cultural food traditions. For example, La Terrazza uses buffalo mozzarella from Naples, organic balsamic vinegar and olive oil from Umbria, and air-dried ham out of Parma. The Emilia-Romagna region also produces Silversea's 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, while the pasta is made daily right on board.

La Terrazza is open for casual, buffet-style breakfast and lunch with indoor or al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace. During the evening, La Terrazza transforms into an à la carte traditional Italian restaurant. Seating is limited for dinner and reservations are recommended.

The Restaurant

Sparkling with silver, crystal and candlelight, Silversea’s main dining room serves contemporary, international cuisine with sophisticated elegance and impeccable service. Menus feature regional specialities unique to the voyage destination, for example, Roasted Chilean Sea Bass while cruising the Chilean fjords and Indian Chicken Korma en route to Mumbai. During days at sea, choose something from La Collection du Monde, a series of signature dishes created exclusively for Silversea by the Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux.

The Restaurant aboard this luxury cruise ship offers open-seating dining, which means there are no assigned times, no assigned tables. You are free to dine when, where and with whom you please.

Le Champagne

The only Wine Restaurant by Relais & Châteaux at sea can be found aboard the luxury cruise ships of Silversea. Indulge in an evening where fine wines are complemented by a set tasting menu of regionally inspired dishes in an intimate, elegant setting. An extraordinary six-course experience celebrating the world’s most distinguished wine regions. Per guest reservation fee of US$40.Please visit My Silversea to make your reservations.

Enrichment

Silversea offers an enrichment programme of the highest calibre. There are wine tastings and cooking demonstrations so that you can savour the flavours of the lands you visit. Take a dance class. Sit in on a lecture by an eminent guest speaker. Watch a wine video customised for your destination. Or devote your time to more active pursuits — jogging, swimming or an exercise class at the Fitness Centre. Or perhaps you prefer shopping in the boutique, indulging in a massage, or soaking in a warm whirlpool. On board Silversea all inclusive cruises, the choices are many and they’re all yours.

Destination Consultants

Silversea’s knowledgeable Destination Consultants have been carefully selected for their regional expertise. On most voyages, a Destination Consultant presents informal discussions about the history and culture, the highlights and must-see places of interest and where to shop or dine. He provides insight about the various shore excursions to help you make the best selection, and even accompanies some of the tours. In places like the Panama Canal or Alaska’s Inside Passage, you’ll hear him expounding about the sights with commentaries from the bridge. And he’s also available to answer individual queries — around the ship or at a round table discussion, perhaps. Or join him at dinner and enjoy convivial conversation along with some expert advice.

Guests Lecturers

For travellers who value learning and personal growth, Silversea offers the Silver Perspectives® Enrichment Programme on longer itineraries with multiple days at sea. In an intimate setting, guests can attend fascinating lectures presented by distinguished guest hosts. These experts include authors, journalists, naturalists, diplomats, professors and other specialists whose lecture topics range from politics to the environment, from tribal customs to ancient history. Lectures generally conclude with a stimulating question and answer session.

Culinary & Wine Cruises

Silversea will entice your palate and send your taste buds soaring as you travel from destination to destination on board food and wine cruises. Flavours and aromas become as much a part of your experience as the sights you see and the cultures you encounter. Food and wine cruises include an exclusive array of epicurean delights. On board, multiple intimate dining venues serve superb cuisine with a sophisticated level of attentive service and an ever-changing ocean view. In your suite, there's even an educational video programme prepared by Silversea's celebrated wine consultant, Lyn Farmer, that describes the wine regions you will visit on your voyage and the flagship varietals they produce.

Meet contemporary guest chefs and international vintners on Silversea's Culinary Arts Voyages and Wine Series Voyages. Attend the only Relais & Châteaux cooking school at sea. And join Silver Shore excursions to Relais & Châteaux boutique properties where world-renowned chefs reveal their remarkable talents.

Bridge Sailings

Though guests are welcome to play Bridge on any Silversea cruise, a Bridge Sailing features a formal programme of Contract and Duplicate Bridge, which is supervised by instructors who are certified ACBL (American Contract Bridge League) Life Masters. Bridge Sailing activities are complimentary and guests can enjoy daily Bridge sessions (twice daily on sea days), Bridge lectures for both beginning and intermediate-level players, and even opportunities to earn ACBL Master Points. Silversea supplies all Bridge materials and hosts the programme in a dedicated Card Room on board.

Entertainment

The ocean views and soothing sound of the surf can be quite intoxicating at sea, so it’s not surprising that daydreaming on deck is one of the most popular pastimes. However, every Silversea all inclusive cruise also includes a considerable number of more active pursuits — some for the body, some for the mind … and some just for fun.

The Show Lounge

Every seat in this multi-tiered venue enjoys a clear view to the stage. Applaud a broad spectrum of entertainment — from full-scale production shows and classical soloists, to cultural entertainment and feature films. Enjoy dancing to a range of musical styles for every taste from standards to the latest club mixes.

Facilities

Dress Code

Onboard- Casual resort wear is appropriate for daytime aboard ship, and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at resorts. Shoes should be flat or low-heeled for deck activities. Evening attire falls into three categories: casual, informal and formal. On casual evenings, open-neck shirts, slacks and sports outfits are appropriate. On informal evenings, women usually wear dresses or trouser suits; gentlemen wear jackets (tie optional). Appropriate formal evening wear for women is an evening gown or cocktail dress; men wear tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits. On formal nights, guests dining in La Terrazza may opt to wear casually elegant attire (dresses or trouser suits for women; jacket, tie optional for men). Following dinner, all guests are free to take advantage of any or all of the public spaces for both entertainment or cocktails and after-dinner drinks. Sailings of eight days or less typically feature two formal nights, while longer voyages usually have three or four formal nights. Details will be provided in your final cruise documents, but the chart below provides a basic guideline to assist in packing your cruise luggage with the proper attire.

Ashore- Since there is so much to see and do while exploring the sights, you will find that the most important item to pack in your cruise luggage is a pair of comfortable, sturdy shoes. This is particularly important for shoreside explorations where the ground is often uneven and where extensive walking or climbing may be required. Casual attire is appropriate at all times when ashore. Clothing that can be layered to accommodate different temperatures is most versatile and comfortable. Appropriate dress should be worn on shore excursions that visit a mosque, cathedral or monastery. Guests wearing shorts or skirts above the knee or women with bare shoulders may not be permitted to enter. Please check with the Tour Desk aboard the ship for dress requirements before departing on tour.
