Sail on board Silver Spirit
Dining

With the importance of food in Italian culture, you would expect dining to be a high priority at Silversea. And it most assuredly is. Moreover, gastronomic excellence is a given thanks to Silversea’s partnership with the prestigious Grands Chefs Relais & Châteaux. No matter where you dine, their influence is readily apparent in the great diversity and presentation of culinary selections on board your all inclusive cruise. Silversea offers a choice of dining venues, even aboard their smallest ships, and as many as six restaurants on Silver Spirit — remarkable for a ship of her size. The main dining room aboard every Silversea luxury cruise ship, The Restaurant, is always open seating so you can arrive at your leisure and dine with the friends you invite to join your table. And with the worldly crowd of international guests who sail on Silversea ships, socialising is yet another great advantage of the Silversea experience.

Seishin Restaurant

Taking its name from the Japanese word for “spirit”, this intimate restaurant aboard Silver Spirit specialises in fine Asian fusion cuisine including regional dishes from Japan as well as from China, Thailand, Vietnam and India. From Kobe beef to spider lobster, exquisite creations are prepared with fresh and authentic ingredients. Admire the artistry of seafood delicacies as they are sculpted before you at the central Chef's Table. Sake pairings are also available. During days at sea, Seishin offers a complimentary sushi and sashimi bar for lunch.

La Terrazza

Slow Food is an eco-gastronomic concept that began at a grass roots level in reaction to “Fast Food” and is dedicated to proper land stewardship while preserving cultural food traditions. For example, La Terrazza uses buffalo mozzarella from Naples, organic balsamic vinegar and olive oil from Umbria, and air-dried ham out of Parma. The Emilia-Romagna region also produces Silversea's 24-month aged Parmigiano Reggiano, while the pasta is made daily right on board.

La Terrazza is open for casual, buffet-style breakfast and lunch with indoor or al fresco dining on the outdoor terrace. During the evening, La Terrazza transforms into an à la carte traditional Italian restaurant. Seating is limited for dinner and reservations are required.

Le Champagne

The only Relais & Châteaux restaurant at sea can be found aboard the ships of Silversea. Indulge in an evening of seasonally inspired dishes that are crafted with the finest artisan products and freshest, locally sourced ingredients available. The menu continually changes to reflect the voyage destination and provide guests with an enhanced experience of authentic regional flavour.

Pool Bar and Grill

Poolside convenience for breakfast and lunch including fresh-from-the-oven pizza and lighter fare. Come nighttime, the venue is transformed into The Grill featuring "hot rock" dining under the stars. This fun, interactive cooking concept allows guests to grill their own seafood and prime meats directly at their table on a heated volcanic rock plate. Open-seating dining for breakfast and lunch. Reservations required for dinner.

The Restaurant

Sparkling with silver, crystal and candlelight, Silversea’s main dining room serves contemporary, international cuisine with sophisticated elegance and impeccable service. Menus change daily. The Restaurant offers open-seating dining, which means there are no assigned times, no assigned tables. You are free to dine when, where and with whom you please. Open-seating dining for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Stars Supper Club

Imagine the era of cabarets and supper clubs, lamp-lit tables and beaded gowns sweeping the floor. Welcome to the romance and glamour of decades past in the intimate Stars Supper Club exclusively aboard Silver Spirit; its stunning Art Deco setting was inspired by the old Rainbow Room in New York. Begin with cocktails. Dine on delectable small plate selections from around the globe. Swing and sway to live jazz or to the velvety sounds of a cabaret singer. Let the ambience transport you back in time. Reservations required.

Enrichment

Silversea offers an enrichment programme of the highest calibre. There are wine tastings and cooking demonstrations so that you can savour the flavours of the lands you visit. Take a dance class. Sit in on a lecture by an eminent guest speaker. Watch a wine video customised for your destination. Or devote your time to more active pursuits — jogging, swimming or an exercise class at the Fitness Centre. Or perhaps you prefer shopping in the boutique, indulging in a massage, or soaking in a warm whirlpool. On board Silversea all inclusive cruises, the choices are many and they’re all yours.

Guest Lecturers

For travellers who value learning and personal growth, Silversea offers the Silver Perspectives® Enrichment Programme on longer itineraries with multiple days at sea. In an intimate setting, guests can attend fascinating lectures presented by distinguished guest hosts. These experts include authors, journalists, naturalists, diplomats, professors and other specialists whose lecture topics range from politics to the environment, from tribal customs to ancient history. Lectures generally conclude with a stimulating question and answer session.

Destination Consultants

Silversea’s knowledgeable Destination Consultants have been carefully selected for their regional expertise. On most voyages, a Destination Consultant presents informal discussions about the history and culture, the highlights and must-see places of interest and where to shop or dine. He provides insight about the various shore excursions to help you make the best selection, and even accompanies some of the tours. In places like the Panama Canal or Alaska’s Inside Passage, you’ll hear him expounding about the sights with commentaries from the bridge. And he’s also available to answer individual queries — around the ship or at a round table discussion, perhaps. Or join him at dinner and enjoy convivial conversation along with some expert advice.

Entertainment

The ocean views and soothing sound of the surf can be quite intoxicating at sea, so it’s not surprising that daydreaming on deck is one of the most popular pastimes. However, every Silversea all inclusive cruise also includes a considerable number of more active pursuits — some for the body, some for the mind … and some just for fun.

The Show Lounge

Applaud a broad spectrum of entertainment — from full-scale production shows and classical soloists, to cultural entertainment and feature films. Throughout your voyage, this luxury cruise ship’s Show Lounge also presents port talks, enrichment lectures and a variety of special events.

The Bar

Facilities

Dress Code

Onboard- Casual resort wear is appropriate for daytime aboard ship, and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at resorts. Shoes should be flat or low-heeled for deck activities. Evening attire falls into three categories: casual, informal and formal. On casual evenings, open-neck shirts, slacks and sports outfits are appropriate. On informal evenings, women usually wear dresses or trouser suits; gentlemen wear jackets (tie optional). Appropriate formal evening wear for women is an evening gown or cocktail dress; men wear tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits. On formal nights, guests dining in La Terrazza may opt to wear casually elegant attire (dresses or trouser suits for women; jacket, tie optional for men). Following dinner, all guests are free to take advantage of any or all of the public spaces for both entertainment or cocktails and after-dinner drinks. Sailings of eight days or less typically feature two formal nights, while longer voyages usually have three or four formal nights. Details will be provided in your final cruise documents, but the chart below provides a basic guideline to assist in packing your cruise luggage with the proper attire.

Ashore- Since there is so much to see and do while exploring the sights, you will find that the most important item to pack in your cruise luggage is a pair of comfortable, sturdy shoes. This is particularly important for shoreside explorations where the ground is often uneven and where extensive walking or climbing may be required. Casual attire is appropriate at all times when ashore. Clothing that can be layered to accommodate different temperatures is most versatile and comfortable. Appropriate dress should be worn on shore excursions that visit a mosque, cathedral or monastery. Guests wearing shorts or skirts above the knee or women with bare shoulders may not be permitted to enter. Please check with the Tour Desk aboard the ship for dress requirements before departing on tour.

Smoking Regulations

Smoking is not allowed in:

- Guest suites and guest suite verandas

- All Public Areas, Lounges and Bars

Smoking (including Cigars, Pipes and Cigarettes) is allowed in The Connoisseur's Corner. In addition, tables and seating have been made exclusively available outside the Panorama Lounge, the Pool Bar, and specified areas of open decks. Disabled Facilities

Guests who rely upon wheelchairs must bring their own. Please note that not all shore excursions are suitable for guests with impaired mobility.

All guests are required to report in writing to Silversea at the time their reservation is made:

- Any physical or mental condition that may require medical or professional treatment or attention during the voyage.

- Any condition that may render the guest unfit for travel, or that may require special care or assistance.
